We go through bread here at an alarming rate.  I’m not exaggerating when I say we eat 4-6 loaves of bread every week.  That’s a lot of bread.

Because we eat so much of it, this is one of the few baked goods I don’t make from scratch on a regular basis.  But I do love a good loaf of homemade bread, and I’ve been trying out a few different recipes to find one that is both A) relatively easy, B) soft enough for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and C) delicious, obviously.

Although that’s a tall order, I finally made a loaf this week that I really love and it filled all those criteria almost perfectly.  I found the recipe here, via Pinterest of course!

I have a few other bread recipes still lined up that I want to check out, but for now, this one goes at the top of the list of successes.  Next time I make it, I just have to double up so I get enough to last more than a single day.  I am really, really hoping to get to a point maybe sometime this winter where making a daily loaf of bread becomes part of my routine and I can stop buying bread in bulk at the grocery store.  This is a good first step.
