Yesterday was the Thanksgiving luncheon at the boys’ elementary school. Q and I went and enjoyed the kind of crazy meal you can only enjoy in an elementary school cafeteria days before a holiday. It made me laugh and thank the heavens that I only have to eat there once a year.
There were a lot of Pilgrim hats and Indian headdresses, a lot of uneaten cafeteria-grade turkey and stuffing, and a lot of noise and chaos. It was fun. Q is ready to start kindergarten NOW.
I’m looking forward to the holidays. They’re finally here! The next month should be full of everything good–planning and making sibling gifts, decorating, family time, music, fires in the fireplace, movie nights, holiday parties, baking, wrapping, building and painting, noise, excitement, and joy. I love this time of year. A lot.
What are you most looking forward to this holiday season?
