Tag Archives: new years resolutions

That’s my theme for 2015.  With every day, every week, every month of this year, I want to seek out new places, new activities, new ideas.  Be brave and try them all.

Grand intentions, yes.  But grand intentions are necessary—if I aim high but only achieve a small portion of what I have in mind, it will still be more than if I settled for small and meager goals.

This is the year we will move abroad (oh my goodness, if ONLY we had a date and knew when we were going).  We will try new things, see new places, eat new foods, meet new people.

It will all be a grand adventure.  I plan to enjoy every minute of it—even the hard, complicated, moving and traveling with four children moments.  Everything can be an adventure if you have the right perspective.

I’m ready.  Welcome 2015—I can’t wait to see what you have in store.

“And now we welcome the new year, full of things that have never been.”
Rainer Maria Rilke

New Years is one of my favorite holidays; there’s so much potential and hope and expectation wrapped up in one day.

Even if we never achieve all the goals and resolutions we make that day, the act of making them—of taking the time to reflect on the past and plan for the future—that’s significant.

That has power.

May you look back on 2014 and remember all the happy times, and may you look forward to 2015 with hope and excitement.

Thank you for taking time this year to visit Little Nesting Doll.  It made my year better.

Happy New Year!
